Saint Abra (c.343-c.360) was the daughter of Hilary of Poitiers and has herself been recognized as a saint.〔Holweck, F. G., ''A Biographical Dictionary of the Saints''. St. Louis, MO: B. Herder Book Co. 1924.〕 She was born before her father converted to Christianity and was made a bishop. At her father's advice she took the vow of virginity and became a nun. During her father's exile from Poitiers she and her mother remained there. She died shortly after his return in 360. She is remembered for her work among the poor and spreading of Christianity in the area around Poitiers, France.〔( Hilary of Poitiers )〕 She is said to have died at 17/18〔(St Abra ) at Feast Days〕 and is remembered in the Pont de Abra bridge, France.〔( Pont de Abra ) at Monuments historiques database.〕 Her feast day is celebrated on 12 December in Poitiers. ==References== 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Abra of Poitiers」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
